Manchester Airport

The airport is 17 kilometers southwest of the center of Manchester. There are two runways and three terminals. Just like Schiphol, there are roll bands or rolling sidewalks at this airport. It is the third busiest airport in Great Britain, after the London airports Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport. In 2006 Manchester Airport processed 22 million passengers. According to expectations this number will double by 2015. There are many activities planned to take care of this growth.
