Kraków Balice Airport

Kraków Balice Airport is, after Warsaw airport, Poland's biggest airport. It is located in the southern Polish town of Balice, near Kraków. The Polish named the airport after the Polish pope and former archbishop of Kraków John Paul II in 1995. Hence, its full name is John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice.

The airport has two passenger terminals and handles about 3 million passengers annually. Terminal 1 is for international flights. Gates 6, 7 and 8 are exclusively for 'Schengen-flights'. Terminal 2 is for domestic flights. There is a free shuttle bus between the terminals and the train station every fifteen minutes.
