There aren't any hotels at the airport although some can be found within a 5-minute car drive. The contemporary and luxurious Radisson SAS hotel offers 221 luxurious rooms, good facilities and a free shuttle service to and from the hotel. One star less, though several kilometres closer to the airport lies the Roma Hotel from where a taxi ride takes no more than a few minutes. The airport is located centrally in Lisbon, making 'airport hotels' quite suitable for any kind of trip or visit.

Hotels in the centre of Lisbon

One of the best locations in the city is somewhere around Parque Eduardo VII. There is a beautiful view of the lower city and the river Tagus from the Park. The Tagus river is the longest river in Portugal and it flows into the Atlantic Ocean once it passes Lisbon. Near the park are several luxurious hotels. The HF Fénix Lisboa is such a luxury hotel near Praça Marquês de Pombal. Located in the surroundings as well is the Sheraton Hotel Lisboa, a luxury hotel with extensive Spa and wellness facilities.

Business travellers will recognise the Holiday Inn Hotel, which has a good reputation and offers good rates.

Naturally, hostels can be found as well. The Alfama patio hostel is situated near São Jorge castle, in one of the oldest districts of the city. Most areas of interest can be reached on foot from here.
